Should An EMG Test Be Done For Severe Arthritis And A Cyst On The Hip?

i just had a si joint fusion 10 weeks ago on my left side. the pain is still there and i am having trouble walking getting pain down my left thigh, pushing my left outward kills. I ve had a c scan mir and hip X-ray. i have a large cyst on my hip and severe arthritus in my hip. my primary care doctor wants me to have an EMG thinking its a nerve problem in my back.
