Should Delivery Be Preponed Due To Blood Circulation Problems?
My sister is 38 weeks pregnant and today when she got her check up report she was informed that blood circulation isnt correct and she should deliver immediately. Is it fine to have delivery immediately like tomorrow? Also how should she be prepared for this unplanned delivery?
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Decreased or absent blood supply to fetus on Doppler ultrasound is an indication for immediate delivery. Moreover, the fetus is fully mature and grown at 38 weeks of gestation, and delivery can be conducted safely at this gestation. You should discuss with your doctor the mode of delivery, as in this condition both caesarean section as well as normal delivery can be conducted, depending upon certain conditions. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti Verma OBGYN
