Should Glasses Be Used By Child With 1.75 Spherical Power?
Hi, Doctor my daughter is 9 and she has got 1.75 number for spherical disorder. People tell me that not to get her glasses as she might get used to that aid or to only use glasses while studying only. Please help me with ur exper advice . Kindly inform me about the chances of corrective surgery in kids and also that if the disorder cud be cured with the help of diet. I seek your help.
Hi, Thank you for asking question on health care magic. Your daughter needs glasses and she should use it constantly (not at the time of reading only). She too young to undergo corrective surgery. Eye ball grows up to 18 years of age . There will be change in power till that age. Only after that age she can undergo corrective surgery like Lasik. That too if the power is more like more than -4 and above. For minor power changes only correction with lenses will do and that is safe.
