Should Glasses Be Used Life Long For -0.5 Power In Eyes?

Hello Doctor, My daughter has -0.5 power. she is 8 yrs old. When we go for a treatment of eye allergy, they find the power is -0.5 and it advised to wear spectacles. As this is a minor power, is it necessary for her to wear life long or in a period of time the power may reduce. Please clarify. What eye exercise has to be done regularly. Pl explain?

may be small but it is myopia. it will increase up to her age attending 25. so wait that age. after that age when power is stabilized she ca go for refractive surgery, or can use contact lens.
