Should I Be Concerned About UTI And Constipation After Weight Loss Surgery And Bladder Sling?
Hi I have quite a few concerns I have always had issues having a bowel movement every day. Last year I under went weightloss surgery as well as a bladder sling for stress incontance. The bladder sling did help as far as when I lift things and sneeze but notice after a year urgency at times, uti frequently after sex, urinated all the time during sex , at times i feel my cervix low and me unable to have a bowel movement for days without the use of a laxative? Should I be concern
Hi and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist, i can understand your anxiety. You've two issues. 1. constipation.2. stress incontinence. 1. You'll need to take a laxative daily, after consulting a gastro-enterologist. 2. You'll need to get examined by an Urologist and do the following tests : a). urine routine and culture. b). blood routine,creatinine,RBS,LFT and platelets. c). ultrasound scan-KUB,with residual urine. d). Uroflowmetry test. According to the reports,an expert opinion can be given.
