Should I Be Concerned About A Sore Bruise On My Arm After An Injury?
I was reaching to the back of the shelf of a rack and that footstool broke and I hit my arm really bad on the underneath. It is now has a large bruise and is very sore and hot to the touch. I was going to just see if it was still real sore tomorrow but since it is hot to the touch I was wondering if I should be concerned.
Due to blunt injury there can be hematoma collection .The bleeding that occurs result in hematoma collection. Over a period of time, as hematoma resolves it cause local skin symptoms around the hematoma.
Continue ice application, and thrombhophobe ointment may help.
Hot to touch indicates infection so you should consult your doctor for management.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
