Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
Spine surgery is considered major surgery and as per your description you have got sequestered disc that needs to be excised to get relief from back pain and lower limb sensory symptoms. Since you have opted for disc replacement fusion is not required of your vertebra. Now a days with minimally invasive spine surgery fusion is not required. You need to consult expert spine surgeon with report. All the best.
