Should I Be Concerned As I Cannot Straighten My Thumb After A Cut?
I cut the top of my thumb between the top joint and the joint of the hand. It was significantly deep, but clean. Made by a knife. I closed it with butterfly closures and rinse it with hydrogen peroxide. My question is this: why can I not straighten my thumb? I will it to, but am not able to. Should I be concerned?

Yes, You should be concerned.
It will take few days to get healed since circulation of blood in the region is affected. Since it is deep cut I would recommend you to take x-ray of wrist AP and oblique to rule crack fractures. You can take pain relievers.
