Should I Be Concerned If Everything Is Normal After Qtip Jammed The Ear With Little Bleeding?
Hi I was cleaning my sons ears and in the middle of it he turned his head fast and hard and the qtip jammed in his ear. He cried for a minute and a small amount of blood came out. Since it happened he is fine. Says there is no pain. Can hear like normal and is acting like self. He is 4 years old. What do you think. Should he be seen???

Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Praveen G's Response
Hello, It is my privilege to help you, I reviewed your history as your son was hurt while cleaning his ear.some amount of blood has come out apart from that everything is normal. The bleeding might be because of injury to the skin of the external auditory canal. As he is not having any symptoms of hearing loss he will be alright. I would advise you to take your son to ear specialist if the symptoms got worse. Thank you.
