Should I Be Worried About Hard Lump Around Elbow Skin? How To Treat It?
I landed heavily on my slightly flexed elbow while playing sport yesterday. I have some bruising but nothing serious. However, I can now feel a hard lump that moves around under my skin on the outside of my elbow. Is this something I should worry about?
Do not worry. Due to blunt trauma, you seem to develop hematoma. There may be bleeding under the skin and localised collection of blood might lead to hematoma. After the few weeks, the hematoma might subside. And no treatment is required. However, you consult surgeon to have firm diagnosis. If required, he may investigate to find out more damage or other blood diseases. Vitamin K,vitamin C, anti inflammatory drugs, antibiotics..etc may be taken. Rub thrombophob ointment on the normal skin of hematoma, which might enhance improvement. I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
