Should I Be Worried About The Flap Of Skin Between Anus And Vagina?

I have a flap of skin between my anus and vagina. Ive had it all my life and I m pretty self conscience about it. It doesn t hurt, it s not sore, doesn t bleed , nothing it s just there. Is this something I should be worried about or is it just the way I was born?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
According to your description, the possibilities are :
- Skin tag
-Sentinel pile
If that is skin tag with out any symptoms, you can just leave it.
If it is causing any problem, you can get it removed.
Sentinel pile usually indicates underlying anal fissure or hemorrhoids.
If you are having symptoms because of these, you may need treatment.
So, consult general surgeon once and get examined.
Depending on the nature of the lesion, further management can be planned.
Take care.
