Should I Be Worried About Weight Gain And Hair Loss If I Am Advised To Take Vimpat In Addition To Other Medications?
I am scared i have had a rapid dosage change on one med for the last 5 months now i am scared once again because i started xanex for anxity and lamictol for my sezures also birth control my dr now wants me to also take vimpat in addition to the meds i'm on i'm worried about weight gain hair loss and i certainly do not want my daughter see me get worse then better
Hi, Thanks for using HCM In my opinion vimpat is not known to cause weight gain and hair loss its the xanex and lamictol that causes weight gain and hair thinning/fall. To avoid the weight gain keep an eye on what you are eating. Increase intake of fibers in your diet cut down on carbohydrates and fats . Walk for 40 mins at least in a day. Have lots and lots of water. Start taking some high quality multi vitamins and minerals .
