Should I Be Worried As The Shower Rod Fell On The Back Of My Head And Has Dizziness?

The shower rod fell on the back of my head pretty hard yesterday and I ve been extremely dizzy since last night and I even vomited yellow acid this morning. I thought maybe it was my ear again so I took something for the dizziness but I m still really dizzy. Could it be because I have a concussion?

Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM! I understand your concern!

Your symptoms seem to be related to the head trauma which has caused a concussion.

It is common to have dizziness, nausea, ear ringing after a concussion.

I recommend you to have some rest. You will recover spontaneously.

If your situation worsens I would recommend you to go to the ER and perform a brain CT scan to exclude a possible intracranial hemorrhage.

Hope to have been helpful!

Greetings! Dr. Aida

General & Family Physician Dr. Manan Patel's  Response
From your description I can come to diagnosis that you have mild head injury. In mild head injury, the injured person may vomit once or twice and complain of a headache and dizziness. It may be due to concussion. You should consult your physician and he would suggest you X-ray or CT scan for the same.
Thank you.
Regards,
Dr. Manan
