5 days before my period I felt a dull ache and heaviness in lower pelvic area... And a little swelling... I got my period.. On time and normal... But the symptoms sti didn t go away... Should I be concerned... If it makes a difference... I m only 18 and still a virgin
In unmarried, 18 years old girl it is common to have some amount pain before the periods. But as: - Your pain started before menstrual period and persisting after that also - Your period was normal - You noticed little swelling in pelvic area, Rare causes like ovarian cysts, pelvic masses, appendicular pathology etc has to be ruled out.
According to these factors better to consult your Gynecologist once, get examined and go for ultrasound. This will help in finding out the possible cause of the problem and treatment can be taken accordingly.
