Should I Be Worried Of The Ultrasound Result?

Hi this is my 34w4d nd I had ultrasound yesterday. Baby weight is 3.11 pound. My doc said it's very less. And now she will do ultrasound twice a week. My height is 5 feet and my first baby weight was 3.60 pound when I was in the same week. Is everything ok or not?

Hello and welcome to the forum,

The baby's weight is on the lesser side as we expect the weight at this gestation must be atleast above 4 pounds.
But please do not worry as worry will further complicate matters.

There are a few small measures that you may adopt to help increase the baby weight. Monitor your diet, check to see if you are eating enough calories [ at least 2800 per day], including two servings of good quality protein like egg or meat and milk and plenty of carbohydrates and vegetables in your diet. I suggest that you take at least 4 meals per day that include two big meals and 2 small meals. In addition take 1-2 fruits per day and one egg or a bowl of sprouts must be a part of the diet. Sleep on the left side as much as possible as this improves oxygen supply to the baby. Take deep breaths and a walk daily. Add vitamin supplements to your diet.
Drink plenty of water at least 2 litres of water in one to two hours in addition to your regular water as this helps increase the amount of liquor in the uterus.

Be positive and keep a positive attitude. Drugs like alamine forte are also used in fetal growth restriction and may be taken after consulting your doctor.

With this you will do well.
Hope this helped.
Have a safe pregnancy and delivery.
Best of luck.
