Should I Consult A Doctor As I Am Having Pain And Discomfort From My Ear Which Has A Small Spot Of Blood On It?

I was chasing my kids under a tree and a small branch end some how poked in my ear. if felt immediate pain and discomfort. not the pain subsided but the discomfort is still there. it feel like i need to pop my ears after coming off the mountian or plane. I used a q tip and there is a small spot of blood on it.. I'm thinking this isn't emergency and its christmas day so it can wait to see how it goes over the next few days. Does this sound urgent to anyone else
