Should I Continue Gluformin For Normal Blood Sugar Level?
My age is 52, height: 163 cm.I am having sugar in the initial stage ie., fasting 140 pp sugar - 180 mg.My family doctor told me to take glyformin xl 500. But after 3 days giddiness came. Then Doctor told me to reduce the dosage. ie. 1/2
tablet of Gluformin xl 500. Again I am having the same giddiness.Then reduced to 1/4 tablet. After two months my blood sugar random
was 80. Then Doctor asked me to stop this medicine and go for walk.
But I could not go waslk regularly. After stopping the medicine in the period of 1 month, my blood sugar was 130 random and after two months it was 160 random. Shall I continue the 1/2 tablet of
gluformin xl daily. kindly advice.

Dear friend I can understand your concern
in my opinion your height and weight ratio is very good
in diabetes this medicatin gluformim also called as metformin is a very good medication
so I strongly suggest you to continue taking metformin half tablet twice daily after food
next walk 4 days a week
follow strict low calorie diet avoid refined sugars
I suggest you to consider doing test called Hba1c and random blood sugar is not having any significance when compared to Hba1c ok
