Should I Get Myself Tested For No Facial Hair As I Have No Other Developmental Problems As A 30 Yr Old Man?
I'm 30 years old and have no facial hair on my cheeks or sideburns. My grandfather on my moms side could grow a beard , my dad, his brother and my grandfather could grow facial hair as well. I'm in good shape and can put on muscle so I don't think its a testosterone problem. I developed normally except this. Should I get checked out?
Hi and thank you so much for trusting us with your health query.
I am so sorry to hear about this. If you are comfortable about this, there is no need to go testing for this. There is no drug that doctors would prescribe to you specifically for this. However, if you would want just answers as to why this is happening, then you may consider doing so. For sure, it is not related to hormones as this isn't the case with other areas like the armpits, groin, etc.
I hope you find this helpful. Thank you so much for using our services and please feel free to for more information or clarifications if need be. I wish you the best of health. Dr. Ditah, MD.
