Should I Meet A Doctor For Late Periods Or Is It A Symptom Of Pregnancy?

Hi I had a tubular ligation 7.5 months ago whilst having a c section (5th c section in 6 years). My periods where regular afterwards but now are a week late. Home pregnancy test has come up negative. Is it possible that I could be pregnant or should I be concerned and see my local dr?

Hello madam, from the history you have given, well delay in periods can be due to many causes apart from pregnancy, though pregnancy has to be ruled out .Thought cases of pregnancy are seen following tubal ligation, the chances are usually less.Sometimes even stress delays periods.i would suggest you to consult your gynaecologist, to make sure it is not pregnancy, as ectopic pregnancy is common following tubal ligation. If everything is normal, you may be prescribed medicines for withdrawal bleeding.Hope i was helpful to you.
