Should I Meet Dermatologist For Dry Scalp And Crusty Scab?

I have had very dry scalp for several weeks now, with one spot in particular being like a big crusty scab. I have used coritsone cream to now avail and just started using Head and Shoulders; not long enough to see if it is going to work. Should I see a dermatologist. I have never had this before and don't think anything has changed in my life to cause this?????
