Should I Meet Doctor For Cold And Cough For A Week?
I have had a cold and cough for about a week now, and it just seems like it should be getting better, but every morning I wake up coughing up mucus (sometimes a little bloody) and every night I start coughing like crazy - more of a dry cough and it is difficult to speak or to fall asleep. Tomorrow will be the eight day of this and I would like to know if there is reason to go to a doctor.

I have been through your query and i can understand your concern.
Cough along with cold can be caused due to allergic reaction or infection. Dry cough might irritate your throat causing soreness and Dry Cough is often Violent.
As you mentioned you wake up with bloody mucous sometimes, I suppose that is due to the regular irritation of the Throat which might have injured the same.
As it has been more than a week now. I would suggest you to have yourself examined with a Specialist and also get your sputum checked to
rule out any Severe Infection like TuberCulosis owing to the Bloody Mucous.
Meanwhile i would like to advise you to do Saline Gargles to relieve your throat from any inflammation. If i were your doctor, i would have prescribed you Some Anti-inflammatory and Antibiotics medicines (if you were not allergic to them).
