Should I Meet Doctor For The Bump And Soreness After Hitting Head?

I had an Iphone thrown at my head last night and an instant bump came on my head. The lump has lessened slightly today but is really sore and when I bend down or seem to strain i.e. blow nose it hurts. Is that normal or should I be going to see a doctor?

Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

I read carefully your question and would explain that your symptoms are just normal after a head trauma.

Did you loose conscience?

The bump is related to the soft tissues inflammation, caused by the head trauma.

I would recommend to have some rest and take some painkillers (acetaminophen or ibuprofen).

If your situation doesn't improve, or even worsens (headache, nausea and vomiting, confusion, sleepiness, dizziness), I recommend going to the ER for a careful physical exam and a brain CT scan to exclude possible delayed subdural hemorrhage.

Hope to have been helpful!
Greetings!
