Should I Stop Progestrone After Having Vomiting, Discomfort And More Sleeping At 6th Week Of Pregnancy?

sir , i m 6 wks preg i m taking progestron 200 mg od i m a primi should i continue progestron or i can stop because i m feeling excessive sleepiness n now started vomiting n abd discomfort also otherwise i had no voimiting symptoms ... is there any prob in stopping progestron?

Congrats on your pregnancy.
excessive sleepiness and some amount of nausea and vomiting is common in early pregnancy.
this may not stop even after you discontinue progesterone. If the drug has been prescribed by your doctor there must be a good reason. Stopping progesterone in early pregnancy may cause miscarriage.
I would recommend that you consult you doctor again before stopping the medications. Also consider taking some medications for nausea.
Patients in my clinic with similar complaints respond well to tab vominos 1 at night.
