Should I Take Antibiotic For Inflamed Pimple On Ear During Pregnancy?

I am 37 weeks pregnant and have an inflamed pimple located at the junction of my left ear. It is so inflamed that it is affecting my left eye and left side of my lip....left lip is numb like having an anesthetic from a dentist that whenever I smile, only my right cheek goes upward and whenever I drink, fluid leaks from the left side of my lip. Left ear is painful. Shouldn t I be on antibiotic for this?

Hi dear ,

As per your query you have pimple and numbness on left eye and lip ,which is causing problem . The pimple you mention in query are due to hormonal changes in pregnancy and probable reason for numbness is nerve dysfunction . The period of pregnancy is very crucial and one should not take any medicine without prescription . As antibiotics are prescribed medicine so your should only take it after prescription from doctor . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for pimple problem and oral surgeon for numbness for proper diagnosis and rule out condition like bell's palsy .
