Should I Take Antibiotics For Cough And Headache As I Have Tooth Infection?

Hello, I have an infection in my wisdom tooth which has a flap over it *puss has been coming out for about a Month) I have now had a Tickley cough for about a week along with headache and now the back of my tongue has a white/yellow covering. I have been to the dentist twice but she Never mentioned about anti biotics. I am waiting for a letter to have it taken out but dont know how long that will take. do u think I should go to the doctors to get anti biotics now the cough etc. Its also waking me up several times in the night :(

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms you are suffering from PERICORONITIS that is infection and inflammation of gum flap over the wisdom tooth and as there is Pus discharge it is a clear cut indication of Infection and need antibiotics to treat it..
Headache and tickle in throat can also occur due to radiating pain from wisdom tooth and throat irritation can initiate cough..

You should start a course of antibiotics like Augmentin and Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Do warm saline gargles..

Once the infection subsides to some extent get an
x ray done and if wisdom tooth is impacted get it extracted and if it is erupting normally OPERCULECTOMY that is surgical removal of gum flap can be done..
