Should I Take Medicine If My TSH Level Is 6.5?

hi doctor,
my tsh is 6.5.it was checked before 1 month.before 6 months it was 4.28.did i want to consult doctor/to take medicine?my height is 155cm&weight is 74kg.my weight is gaining.i'm doing exercise regularly.i'm controlling diet also.but weight is not reducing

Hello,
good day.
Weight gain may not be due to thyroid problems alone. Please do not start medicines for TSH of 6.5. It can temporarily go high in variety of conditions. Repeat TSH and Free T4 and Anto TPO after few days. Based on this we can decide treatment. DO you have a goiter ( enlarged thyroid?)
