I have chest pain I believe is due to anxiety. I am on Sertraline 100 mg and I would have thought that the mood disorder was taken care of. However, the chest pain which was provoked by a known stressor has persisted for three days and prevents me from working or sleeping, it makes me want to sigh a lot. Rang my gp but cannot see me until one more week, should I take a valium?
Thanks for your question on HCM. I advice you to consult psychiatrist first , rather than taking Valium. Better to first diagnose yourself. You need proper counseling sessions from psychiatrist . Try to discuss your problems, stressors and find out their solution. No need to take extra medicine (Valium). You will be benefitted more by counseling then the Valium. So consult psychiatrist and try to discuss your problems.
