Should I Undergo IUI?

Hi doctor. I just went for a follicle scan today. My lead follicle is 18mm and the other is 16mm. My doctor says I should ovulate on my own round about tomorrow without a trigger shot so we are having iui tomorrow. Is this correct? I dont want to have to do iui too early and miss my ovulation.

Hello,

Follicular growth is good in your ovary. To know the dates of ovulation you do home ovulation tests using ovulation kit available over the counter (eg. Clear blue fertility monitor). This will tell you when do you ovulate in a cycle.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vidya K. R., General & Family Physician
