Should Immediate Medical Attention Be Seeked For Pain In Knees Caused By Exposure To Cold After Knee Replacement?
Hello, I have had a left knee replacement 2 years ago. I woke up this morning and my lft knee was stiff, this happens sometimes when the weather is cold. I went out shopping and by the time I got home I could barely walk (lft knee pain) I was also very cold though I was not outside for more than 5 mins. I went to bed fully clothed with several blankets and an ice bag on my lft knee. I woke several hours later and I now have a temp of 100.8. I also have a hx of DVT left leg and cellulitis lft leg. My question is should I call my Ortho doctor or my GP or go to the nearest ER or wait and see if I am better tomorrow. I am taking cephalexin 500mg from a prior episode in August 2013. I would rather not go out tonight because it is bitter cold and I would have to walk to the ER (2 blocks). Thanks for your consideration. Deb Barry

Should Immediate Medical Attention Be Seeked For Pain In Knees Caused By Exposure To Cold After Knee Replacement?
Hi there. Well...the best option would be to go to GP but since you have trouble doing that it is best that you take Crocin 1 gm three times daily. This will take care of your swelling and fever both. Do go to the doctor once your symptoms subside . I hope my advice has helped Good luck
