Should Medication For Infection Be Prescribed For 7 Days?

hi..my doctor prescribed albothyl suppositories for me good for 3 consecutive days and 2 tabs 500 mg azithromax as a single dose. I m a bit cynical about it the dosage/prescription. I thought, if it s for infection, 7 days will be the right duration for medication.
