Should Medicines Be Taken To Reduce Swelling After An Inguinal Hernia Surgery?
Hi doc, 12 days ago I undergone for an open inguinal hernia surgery but still seeing the swelling post surgery. And I am given no medicines or ointment after 10th day. I feel something moving when I walk. Is all things are normal, need I take medicines anymore?
If wound has healed properly, then it may not need treatment.
If swelling is present at the site of infection, then you may need to be examined for collection or hematoma. Please get ultrasound abdomen done to find the cause for swelling and then consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
