Should The Combivir PEP Prescription Be Started Now Or In The Morning?
I just filled out a Combivir PEP prescription. I am 34 hours from exposure and I hear it works best within 36 hours. However, I also hear it needs to be taken regimentally in the morning with breakfast and again at night with dinner. I dont know if I should start now or in the morning (it is 12:47am here)

Combivir is combination of Zidovudine + lamivudine and prescribed after meal early in the morning and after dinner ,because on empty stomach it is very difficult to tolerate these drugs because of GI discomfort and acidosis .
But in your case you should not wait for morning .
Take this drug at once after some meal and next dose you can take after 8-10 hours and so on .
Within 2 days dosage will adjust.
