Should The ER Be Visited For Blood And Mucus In Stool?
I think I got overheated while working outside, started cramping, had a couple regular bowel movements. Have had cramping and diarrhea since then, the last 2 or 3 bright red blood and mucose looking. Should I go to ER? This has been going on for about 7 hrs.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You may be suffering from acute bacillary dysentery. If you're passing more number of stools or head ache or giddiness please go ER for fluid replacement. Drink plenty of ORS , take probiotics, use ORS liquids. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
