Should The ER Be Visited For Numbness On The Right Side Of The Mouth?

Hi,
I am super healthy, really having no issues ever but am a little concerned about what I've been experiencing recently. Yesterday, I had very mild numbness on the right side of my mouth and jaw, like it was waking up after a dentist filling but mild. It then seemed to go away. I worked out this morning as normal and felt fine. Today again though, I'm having the same numbness there but also my right arm feels funny - not numb but weak. It has a very mild shake. I called my doctor but they haven't called back. Do you think I should go to urgent care just to be safe??

Hi,

How old are you? It is possible that you may be suffering from neuropathy or Bell's palsy or trigeminal neuralgia or stroke etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use pregabalin.

Please consult your neuro physician, he will examine and do CT scan brain and nerve conduction study then treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
