Should The ER Be Visited For Severe Swelling In The Legs?
BOTH OF MY LEGS, ANKLES, FEET AND BOTTOM OF MY FEET ARE BADLY SWOLLEN. MY EYES ARE BOTHERING ME AND MY THROAT FEELS SWOLLEN. I STARTED TAKEN ATORVASTATIN 40 MG TABLETS FROM MY DR ONLY 3 TO 4 DAYS AGO. WORRIED ABOUT MY KIDNEYS!!! WOULD YOU ADVISE ME TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AT THE HOSPITAL?
It can be because of kidney disease as face swelling and leg swelling both present along with it.
I suggest to investigate with serum urea, creatinine, eGFR estimation for that. If it comes normal then EKG, serum TSH estimation, serum protein estimation, etc., like further work up done. I suggest you to consult physician for examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
