Should The Dosage Of Azax 500 Be Completed Even After Having Loose Motions?

Hi. I am 35 years old. I got throat infection (pharyngitis) and doctor prescribed me AZAX 500 and I had completed 3 days course. today is 4th day and today I am feeling feverish and running nose but body temperature is normal. running nose was not there since last 3 days. my sputum is yellowish. Do I need to take azax 500 for 2 more days? I am getting loose motion after taking azax 500. Pls suggest

Since you are having running nose , mild fever ( however, mild degree fever may be the after effect of diarrhea or due to throat infection ).
Usually azithromycin 500 mg advised only for 3 days ,you have already completed the course of antibiotics.
When patient with such symptoms visit I prescribe them to take levofloxacin 10 mg /kg body weight orally ,once in day for 3-5 day .
Not only this will cure sore throat and also help in diarrhea .
Fever and running nose may be due to FLU or common cold , so levofloxacin will also help.
Since this is prescription medicine , so consult your physician and get his prescription.
Plenty of tepid water also help.

Brief: no need to take more azax.

Detail: you have mentioned that you have had loose motions from azax. Now you are feeling feverish and having runny nose and yellowish sputum. I have some suggestions for you:
Discontinue azax. Loose motions will resolve automatically. Take plenty of oral fluids.
Runny nose and pharyngitis can cause general malaise and thus make you feel feverish. Take levocetrizine 5mg twice a day for runny nose.
Do hot water gargles if you still have throat discomfort.
Go for sputum examination and visit your physician.
