Should The Heavy Dosage Of Thyroid Medications Be Continued If The Levels Are Normal?
I have been threatening with Hypothyroid from last 2year. On 18/04/2014 TSH level was 10.12, then I increased the dosage of “thyroxin” to 125 ml daily. and on 19/07/2014 TSH level was decreased to 0.132. please advise me should I continue same dosage of thyroxin or any change?
Hello, Thanks for posting in HCM. The levels of TSH has gone to lower levels now. So it will be advisable to do a complete thyroid profile to look at free T3 and free T4 also. So that you get a total picture of the thyroid levels of your body. Seeing the TSH value of recent test you need to decrease the dosage of thyroxine but how much that will be better to consult your doctor who can follow up with your reports and adjust the dosage for you to keep levels in optimum range. I hope i have answered your query well. Thank you
