Should The Hormones Be Supplemented For The Relaxation After Partial Hysterectomy?

I had a partial hysterectomy 7 years ago and this past May I had both ovaries removed. I did great for a long time and now I feel like I am losing my mind. I do not sleep, cry all the time, very irritable and my husband and sons think I am losing my mind. Will hormones help me?

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi,

Most probably you will be suffering from post menopausal symptoms. I would suggest you to get evaluated by a gynaecologist or endocrinologist. hormonal replacement therapy (HRT) can alleviate your symptoms. If the symptoms are mild supportive treatment like pregabalin, gabapentin or amitryptylline may help.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

With warm regards,
Dr Ajish TP (MD,DM)
Consultant Endocrinologist.
