Should The Subdural Hematomas Be Operated Despite Alzheimer's Disease?

My mother is 71 with Altzheimers. She wa shopsitalized 6 weeks ago after a bad fall. She has subdural hematomas. At the time the said they would not do surgery because for her it would not help , she would only get back to baseline of alzheimers and the surgery is to o risky. Now after being home and 3 repeat cts they say each one is getting worse and more and more of a lead .They say if we don't not operate she will die. They said the 2 hole burr is needed right away yet keep telling e everything that will go wrong I went for 3 opinions. 2 doctors say it must be doe immediately and at the rate it is worsening we can't wait the third says no need for surgery yet and no rush. Mom is walking and eating but the last few days is getting weak and is just babbling.not sure what to do

If CT scan shows that subdural hematoma (SDH) is increasing in size, it is best to operate her. SDH can be safely removed through Burr holes. It is not a risky surgery.
Whether your mother has Alzheimer's or not, the treatment of SDH remains the same. Removing SDH will not help her Alzheimer's but if you don't operate an SDH that is increasing in size, she may suddenly deteriorate.
Hope this answer is helpful.
