Should The Surgeon Be Consulted For The Mass Around The Spleen?

After belly hernia surgery in dec last year I came home after 2days and I felt good. The next I had Superbad heartburn and the next day I began throwing up in which I needed to go back into the hospital due to acute kidney failure due to dehydration. From that moment on my kidneys improved every day. I had various tests to examine the kidney and surrounding area. Every day the doctors came in telling me they have not found a single thing wrong with me except the kidneys which were improving. The week after I got out of the hospital I went to see my GP and was interview with the physician assist. He now talks about a mass near my spleen. In the hospital they never mentioned it to me, but after the physician s comment I ask my wife and she stated that they advised her of it then they were not concerned of it. 10days later I went to the delayed exit meeting with the surgeon and we spoke about it and he believed it was a shadow. It is 9months after these events and went to my GP. He states that I need to go back to the surgeon and I am now in shock, all the blood work from March and September came back perfect. Please advise what to do

Hi
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
If you are asymptomatic but as per your previous ultrasound a mass is found near spleen, you need to reconfirm it by ultrasound abdomen again. I would advice you to consult a surgeon for evaluation & management as advised by your GP.
Thank you for contacting HCM.
