Should The Weird Sensation Around The Sinus Area And Light Headedness Be Concerned?

Hello, I need some advice on brain injury. I was shoveling from a recent snow storm and stood up quickly and hit the top of my head fairly hard. It really hurt badly, but no bump ever appeared. Later that night, I felt really dizzy and nauseous. Now several days days, I have a weird sensation in my face around my sinus area and I feel very light headed. Is this caused from hitting my head and should I be worried?

Hi, thanks for posting your concern in the HCM.
An altered sensation over face and light headedness several days after head injury warrant further investigation to rule out any internal brain injury or bleeding. You should at least have a non contrast CT scan of brain at the earliest.
If your report comes out to be normal, it would be a functional problem.
You may also consult a local neurologist to rule out any neurodeficit.
For any further advice I need the following information-
1. Your age and gender
2. Do you have any concurrent medical illness?
3. Is there any history of a cerebrovascular accident in the past?
4. Your present NCCT Brain report
For any further questions, you can write back to me directly.
Regards,
Dr. Kaushik
