Should Tonsils Be Removed For Acute Follicular Tonsillitis?
Hi I have acute Follicular tonsillitis and having bacterial infection. its causing difficulty in swallowing and high fever and fatigue. My doctor recommeneded surgery to remove the tonsil. pl suggest if it should be done also refer a good hospital/Doctor.
There are two main conditions where I suggested tonsillectomy. You have chronic sleep apnea or snoring that disrupts your sleep. You experience recurrent tonsillitis caused by strep throat or other infections. In these cases you should consult an ENT specialist or a surgeon for the procedure.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
