Sick,viral Illness,headache,abdominal Pain,extreme Hunger,feels Sleepy In 6 Year Old

MY SIX YR OLD HAS BEEN SICK MOST OF HER LIFE WITH RANDOM, VIRAL ILLNESSES. SHE HAS SYMPTOMS AS FOLLOWS......HEADACHE, FALLING ASLEEP IN CLASS, ABD PAIN, EXTREME HUNGER . NURSE CHECKED HER GLUCOSE AT 130 AFTER SHE HAD HAD LUNCH AT 1030, THEN RECESS AND WAS 80. HER PEDIATRICIAN HAS ORDERED LABS. SHOULD KNOW RESULTS TOMORROW??? ANY IDEAS??

Hi there,
I would say, just wait for the lab results as that might give a clearer picture to what the problem is. The possibilities could be diabetes, thyroid disorders, iron defeciency anaemia or it could just be post -viral tiredness cause of which she is falling asleep in class.Is she well adjusted to the school? Any problems at school because of which she is psychologically disturbed? I hope your daughter feels better soon :)
