hi pityriasis versicolor is a fungal infectionbut there will not be any itching.i think it is polymorphic light eruption.it is due to ultraviolet rays.it presents as varied characterstic rash.it can be treated by atarax 25 mg at night, dexorange twice daily and application of sunlight in the morning and moisteriser with clobetasol ointment in the night
