Babies are prone to get skin infections. However, if they are recurrent (appearing again and again), it is possible that it is caused by a resilient bacteria called MRSA. This needs to be confirmed by a culture test which can be organised by your pediatrician. If it is positive, it may be important to screen all carers as carriers of this bug are commonly found and can be the source of the bug.
