Hi I am from XXXXX. My daughter is 3 yrs, 10 month old and suffering from chest congestion / coughing from last 2 days. Doctor gave Bricanyle syp and tab Montel. Yesterday I take her to park to play at around 2:00 pm and she starts coughing. We came back around 3:30 and till 5:30 continues 3 hrs she was coughing and even vomited. We take her to emergency and they gave her nebulizer . I don’t understand Is it an asthmatic attack. I am realy very worried. Please help.
Hi Deepthi
As your child went to park and there after she started coughing it is looking like the broncho spasm causes by pollen or plants and dust. Previously did child have similar attacks? Any similar attacks in Family members? If there are similar attacks in the past and in family it could be asthmatic attack and consult your Pediatrician for the examination of your child and be in regular follow up to monitor the frequency of attacks and to classify it.
Hi,
Don't worry. First of all it is not asthma. There will be temporary wheezing+cough
Verify your child's vaccination schedule. Basic blood investigations and X-ray chest are needed to diagnose weather it is due to ordinary LRI / Pneumococcal infection / associated primary complex
Consult a qualified paediatrician for treatment
Best wishes
