What is the frequency of loose stools?
Bactoclav antibiotic can produce loose stools. Or everything might be due to a virus.
Be sure he drinks well and does not get dehydrated.
If he is on breast feeds, continue with that. Give him vegetable soups/ curd/ mashed potato/ mashed banana/ rice based food etc.
Curd will be beneficial as it has probiotic bacteria naturally.
Give him probiotic sachets like Econorm- about 1/2 sachet twice a day for 5 days.
These probiotics will be beneficial in both viral and antibiotic induced diarrhea.
We doctors do not believe teething or any mile stones produces diarrhea.
Hope my answer helps you.
Wish your son a speedy recovery.
