Small Child, High Fever, Nasal Discharge, Cough, Red Rashes On Mouth, Arms. Treatment?

my two year old boy has had a high temp and runny nose last couple of days, his back molars are coming through so i have not been too concerned, he has had panadol and teething gel. however today he has a cough and a red blotchy rash has appeared around his mouth and i have noticed a few blotches on his arms and tummy. he is sleeping well at the moment, should i take him to emergency?

Thanks for the query

As reading the symptoms it appears that your child is suffering from some kind of viral illness most likely measles. Most of the viral illnesses have their own course and they subside after few days and what they need are just symptomatic management and observation if there is any complication.
So, I would suggest you to consult a pediatrician so that he will make a proper diagnosis for further management. Meanwhile you are consulting your doctor for high fever you can give tepid sponging to the baby and ensure adequate hydration.
