Small Cyst In Ovary, Dragging Feeling In Lower Abdomen, Constipated. Is It Due To Stress?
Hi I had a scan 18mnths ago and it showed a small cyst on my ovary of about 1cm. I have had a dragging feeling in my lower abdomen since Wednesday. I have been constipated and have tried all avenues, prune juice, dulcolax. I have a good diet and haven t experienced this before. I had a huge day of stress a week ago sat could this dragging feeling be caused by stress? Many Thanks
Hi, Dragging feeling in the abdomen cannot be caused by stress. Altered menstruation and bowel habit can be due to stress. Though a cyst of such small size is mostly harmless, you should repeat the sonogram to see the progress of the situation if any, and see a specialist for further appraisal of the situation. You should also get assessed for organic causes for your constipation and if everything else is fine and yet the constipation is unrelieved, you may try a glycerine enema under medical supervision. Hope this helps. Take care.
