Small Lumps In Armpit. Not Resolving Into Pimples. What To Do?

I have been in the tropics (Malaysia) for over a month. About one wek into my stay I began noticing small lumps in my right armpit. Tese first resolved into pimple-like bumps, popped, and drained. The last two weeks, however, I have been experiencing larger bumps that do not resolve into pimples. These are uncomforable and are not going away. What should I do?

Hello friend,

these lumps can be a sort of infection , like folliculitis/ furunculosis / abscess.

Since you have been to tropics, i will like to rule out tropical diseases.

They can be infected lymph nodes, since you are saying they are also draining so they can be an abscess mostly associated with fever and severe pain.

So, i will advice you to visit your doctor as this can lead to spread of infection deeper into tissue and it may worsen with time if not appropriately treated in time.

Get well soon.
